Sri Aurobindo Ashram is a very serene and holy spot in Pondicherry. The ashram in the city is situated on the eastern part of the city and should not be skipped by individuals who enjoy a calm environment and need to feel relaxed within the confines of a building. Sri Aurobindo Ghose who has been a great thinker, poet and freedom fighter initiated the Ashram in 1926. He thought that life is simple, healthy, and peaceful and so is what the Ashram teaches.
